The choice for transportation has increased and people have started traveling by airplanes more and more. They prefer reaching their destination in a matter of hours instead of taking days to reach far away places. This competition has reached up to such a level that people who did not even think they would sit in an airplane are regularly traveling by
flights and enjoying the rides too. There are mainly 5 categories of flight that people avail of.
International travel can be categorized into two types, Short haul international and Long Haul International. The short haul international travel usually lasts for 5-6 hours and can be from one country to a neighboring one. These trips if commencing in the evening usually serve a dinner and drinks, depending upon the airline.
It might be a short trip just crossing the border to the adjoining nation. These trips will provide for breakfast, lunch or dinner whichever meal falls during the trip. They also provide small benefits like drinks and refreshments besides the mail meal.
If the distance between the place of origin and place of landing is quite a lot then these flight's are call long haul international trips. These planes are larger than the short haul planes and usually have an economy, business and first class. There are special discounts for frequent flyer's and they might get upgraded to business class if the seats are vacant there.
These journeys provide for all the basic needs of the passenger and stop at in-between places for refueling or flight changing. International travel also includes journeys called around the world journeys. These may include trips from one country in the west to another in the east and then to Asia and back to the west or home country. Various countries are covered in these trips and visas are required for every country that the plane stops in and passengers disembark.
Other types of trips include around the world trips which will take passengers to various destinations on one ticket. The visas for the countries these passengers will be traveling to and from are arranged for well in advance and aircrafts may be changed at certain places. Around the world trips are very costly and should be done after complete confirmation of all bookings from every origin and destination.
Domestic planes are small ones and may carry up to strengths of about a one hundred passengers and provide for basic refreshments. There are private charter planes as well which people take or own. The owners will design the plane the way they want and these planes will take only a few people, about a handful.
There are many flights you can board. There is a new concept of no frills airlines coming into fashion which is purely for domestic travel. These airlines do not serve any food or drink free of cost. The ticket rates are very cheap and you go on board the plane just to travel and not for the services. There are also the government and private plane journeys which some government staff ca and private plane owners take. These are occasional journeys and are not schedules like domestic or international journeys.
